It was a sweltering weekend, and no, it wasn’t just the insane tropical humidity of Singapore. In fact, the heat seemed to accentuate from specific parts of the little island, namely GameHaven @ Clarke Quay. Why so, you ask? Because it was the final showdown of Cyber Gaming Festival (CGF) that’s why!
This fab gaming tourney affair, organized by NUS Student’s Computing Club, brought gamers together with the likes of Defense of the Ancients, Left 4 Dead, Guitar Hero World Tour as well as BlackShot Online. Over at the BlackShot front, tension was riding high as teams faced off against each other for the ultimate glory and victory. As team mates feverishly bounced jargon off the walls (“dog hole, dog hole!”, “mid 2 cover!”) one can’t help but get sucked into the adrenaline spiral of the heated battle.
The massacre of the battle field soon saw the XTC team emerge victorious with a particular member unabashedly self-declaring himself as the “Flag King”, no doubt contributing a good lot of points into the winning team’s favour. Well done XTC!
